About us:

Lara traveling overseas

This year our niece Lara will get a real biggie for Christmas. Together with her grand parents she will come over for Christmas. First long distance flight, first time USA, first time away from home for Christmas, New Year's Eve and last but not least her mom's birthday - Daniela, we appreciate it very much that you let her go - anyway, only a few weeks shy of her 10th birthday Lara seems more than ready for such a big trip.
We are looking forward to showing her where we live and how things are in the US. She will definitely have fun at the Aquarium, at the New World of Coke and at the Stone Mountain Christmas Event. But the best is yet to come: A 4-day road trip to Orlando, Florida will be even more exciting: DisneyWorld, maybe SeaWorld, the Universal Studios and Kennedy Space Center, Cape Canaveral are on our list... Once we're back in Atlanta, we will have some time to relax and to go shopping. We have to find a nice birthday present for birthday girl Daniela who by that time is probably missing her little girl quite a bit.
However, one thing should also be mentioned:
We're glad for Lara to have such great grand parents: Whenever they can Omi and Opi take her on vacation. Special thanks to Oma Ruth and Opa Peter for making all that possible - it brings not only a lot of joy into Lara's life but also a great deal of valuable experiences, sometimes even friends like the Verwall kids!
We are looking forward to having you!
Have a safe trip y'all!

German-American Chamber of Commerce: Gala 2008

The Gala is the culmination of the GACC South's activities and one of the largest international black-tie events in the Southern United States. It’s an occasion where all members, friends and business associates gather for a night of elegant dress and dining among their peers in the German-American business community. The evening includes a car-raffle and a silent auction from which a portion of the proceeds are donated to charity, such as the Red Cross and Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. This event will truly be a night to remember as we also celebrate our 30th anniversary. (Source: GACC website) Am 27.

Greetings from Germany
