Thundersteve hits Atlanta

Currently we are getting ready for our next guests: On October 13th Stephan and his girlfriend Jasmin will arrive. We hear they are thrilled and curious about what they will experience... Of course we will have the usual sightseeing crap waiting for them but as we all know about Thundersteve's ever-present desire for challenges we have a little surprise for them. Since Jasmin, who is a big outdoor fan, also is known for her spirit of adventure, we asked them to bring their hiking boots and special swim wear. Hopefully they already watched the movie we recommended ("Deliverance"). Parts of this film were shot at that same place where we are going to take them for a hike, they will never forget.

But before we are heading for the Georgia Mountains we are going to introduce Jasmin and Stephan to some very authentic parts of the American way of life: Tailgating! Tailgating is part of another constant in an American's everyday life: Game day! We have tickets for a College Football game and the tailgating arrangements are set for: Army @ Georgia Tech. Go Jackets, go! Now, two more things are essential to make a real game day: The marching band and the cheer leaders! We will probably have a lot of fun, and don't forget to wear YELLOW!
Also we are going to have a spectacular night at Philips Arena with Atlanta's NHL team, the Thrashers: BELIEVE IN BLUELAND!
In their second week, Jasmin and Stephan have plans to drive down to the Florida Gulf coast. From what we have heard so far, it must be like paradise down there. You can look forward to Caribbean style beaches and a crystal clear ocean....
